Jozef Guranowski

Jozef Guranowski (1852 - 1922) was active/lived in Poland.  Jozef Guranowski is known for Theater decoration and painting landscapes in oil and watercolor.

A painter and theater decorator, he studied with the decorator and painter Adam Malinowski, with whom he later collaborated at the Decoratorium of the Warsaw Government Theaters. In the years 1891-1908 he held the position of WTR's chief decorator, and from 1909, also their chief engine driver. Outside of Warsaw, he also cooperated with theaters in Dabrowa Górnicza and Sosnowiec. After retiring in 1911, he devoted himself exclusively to painting. He made decorations for ballets, created theater curtains, and from 1880 he took part in TZSP exhibitions.
